Long-term injury victims Ilkay Gundogan (knee) and Gabriel Jesus (foot) are the only absentees for the trip to the Emirates Stadium, with Pep Guardiola reporting that he has virtually a fully fit squad to choose from. There had been doubts about a number of players following the international break, but the manager confirmed that they would be available.

“Except Gabriel Jesus and Gundogan, the others are okay,” he told reporters. “Yeah, [Pablo] Zabaleta as well [as Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne is fit]. They are not top, top perfect but, yeah, they are fit.”

His counterpart Arsene Wenger is under some pressure after a recent run of poor form, but Guardiola will not be underestimating Sunday's opponents:

"Arsene is so professional and so are the Arsenal players, they want to win all their games, there is no problem with that.

"I'm a big fan of all of Arsenal’s players but when the team is not playing well the big players are speculated about.

"When they lose a lot of games this is the most anxious moment to play them, they have good quality. Arsenal is a top team."

City's last away game at Arsenal ended in a 2-1 defeat, with Yaya Toure on the scoresheet for City. Overall City have won 37 of the 159 games played against Arsenal, with 39 draws and 83 defeats.
