Ederson named as Bluemoon Player of the Month for OctoberKeeper wins award after three clean sheets, but injury rules him out of trip to Anfield

Ederson has been named as the Bluemoon Player of the Month for October. City's goalkeeper kept three clean sheets during the month, against Dinamo Zagreb, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, and polled 46% of the vote.

Raheem Sterling came second with 33% of votes cast, whilst Ilkay Gundogan was third. You can see the results in full here.

A muscular injury against Atalanta meant Ederson had to substituted at the San Siro on Wednesday night, and he has been ruled out of the trip to Liverpool.

It is a damaging blow for Guardiola, as the Brazilian international has been in fine form once again this season and has firmly established himself as City's first choice keeper since his £35m move from Benfica in 2017.
