The Daily Mail report that Carlos Tevez is planning to take libel action against Sky pundit Graeme Souness in the latest fall-out from the Manchester City striker's non-appearance at Bayern Munich in September.

Yaya Toure has played down comparisons between City and Barcelona. "They are a top team in the world. We have a long way to go and we have to continue to improve." said the Ivorian. "But I think the mentality is fantastic now, we have the winning mentality."

The Guardian report that City are taking safety advice from United and Liverpool ahead of the visit to Naples later this month. The club have been warned the fixture represents a high-risk occasion after six Bayern Munich supporters were stabbed before a game at the Stadio San Paolo last month.

Andreas Mancini and Luca Scapuzzi have joined Oldham Athletic on loan, for one and two months respectively.
