Vassel's welcome at Ankaragücü

Some fans of my local side Sydney FC made friends with a travelling Turkish AnkaragÃ¼cÃ¼ fan a few years back, and he recently posted about Darius' welcome at the airport for his talks with the club.

I was going to post it in one of the other threads, but I really think it needed its own!

we have new transfer news they are all world stars one of them is darius vassell; yesterday he was at ankara for a interview with club. 3000 ankaragÃ¼cÃ¼ fun welcome him at airport and escort him with 50 bus and 250 cars to his hotel

Gotta feel sorry for the ladies though, they look pretty fit while all the blokes have a hump and one eyebrow.

Great to see. Tbf a few years back and even going back to the season before last, he was a very important player in the team. He's got over 20 England caps and played in the PL for years and loooks to be joining them from 'the richest team in the world'. They are footy nutters over there and I'm glad to see Vass got such a welcome.
