MCFCSTADIA

Since formation as St. Mark’s Church side in 1880, the Club are known to have played at eight different venues. Three of these – Hyde Road, Maine Road, and the City Of Manchester Stadium - have hosted League football. Each of those three have accommodated crowds in excess of forty thousand; each has staged representative matches; two have staged semi-finals; two have staged major pop concerts; one holds a variety of national records; and City are proud that all three of those League homes have been within the present day boundaries of the city of Manchester.

Each of those three League venues have at various points in their history been regarded as major venues and both Maine Road and the City of Manchester Stadium set new benchmarks for stadium construction when they opened. All of this, however, is a far cry from the grounds the Blues first used in the 1880s.
