Aymeric Laporte returns to the squad after serving a one-match suspension, but Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne will miss the visit of Everton on Sunday. Phil Foden is also a doubt.

Grealish picked up an injury on international duty, whilst De Bruyne has tested positive for Covid after being away with Belgium.

“Jack is getting better after he went to the national team,” Guardiola revealed at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“Phil Foden came back with a knock and a problem with his leg, but he is getting better and, unfortunately, Kevin got positive from COVID in Belgium and will be isolating for 10 days.  

“Jack, I don’t think [will be available]. Phil, we will see.”

City won their last home league game against Everton 5-0, with Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden and Sergio Aguero (2) scoring for the Blues. Overall City have won 76 of the 191 games played against the Toffees, with 47 draws and 68 defeats.
