Jack Grealish and Josko Gvardiol will miss the visit of Chelsea to The Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

Gvardiol missed the midweek win in Copenhagen, whilst Grealish was substituted after just 21 minutes with what appeared to be a muscular injury.

“Jack I think will not be ready,” he said at Friday's press conference.

“I don’t know [his condition]. I need to speak with the doctors. I only know he is not able to play tomorrow.

Bernardo we will assess today in the afternoon training session.

“Kova is training and Sergio as well. The rest we will see.”

Chelsea have struggled this season, but back-to-back victories against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace have given Mauricio Pochettino's side renewed confidence.

The two teams drew 4-4 at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season, and Guardiola is expecting another tough challenge.

“They are an exceptional team in all departments,” he said.

“It is one of the toughest games we have until the end of season. They are playing really good. The last games were really good.

“They have everything.”

City won their last home game against Chelsea 4-0, thanks to goals from Riyad Mahrez (2), Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden. Overall City have won 65 of the 176 games played against the Blues, with 40 draws and 71 defeats.

Predicted line-up: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake, Rodri, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Foden, Alvarez, Haaland
