Vincent Kompany misses out again with a muscular injury, but otherwise Pep Guardiola has a virtually fully fit squad to choose from for the visit of Burnley. The City boss was able to rest a number of players for the midweek trip to Burton Albion, allowing the likes of Ian Povedo and Felix Nmecha to make their full debuts, but Guardiola is expected to field a much stronger side tomorrow.

“Tomorrow there will be no players from the academy.

“I always try to put out a strong team. It’s FA Cup against Premier League side like Burnley so we will play with the best team we believe to win the game.

“They players are quite well. We will see today [at training].

“We will make regeneration. Some players have a few problems but I think they will be okay.”

City's last home league game against Burnley at The Etihad ended in a 5-0 victory, with Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Riyah Mahrez and Leroy Sane netting for the Blues. Overall City have won 45 of the 100 games played against Burnley, with 25 draws and 30 defeats.
