City to face Oxford United in Carabao Cup quarter-final

Blues progress to last eight after comfortable victory against Southampton

Manchester City will face Oxford United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, following the draw on Thursday morning. The tie will take place at the Kassam Stadium on the week commencing December 16.

City booked their place in the last eight with a comfortable 3-1 victory against struggling Southampton, whilst Oxford beat Sunderland afer a penalty shoot-out.

It is a repeat of last season's third-round tie, which Pep Guardiola's side won 3-0 on the way to winning the competition.
