Opposition view: Hull CityAn inside view on tomorrow's opponents

Ahead of Saturday's clash at The KC Stadium, Bluemoon caught up with Andy from the Amber Nectar blog to get the lowdown on the opposition...

What are your expectations for this season?

Our expectations were something in lower mid-table (14th would be nice) and a run in one of the cups. Unfortunately we're already out of two of them though...

Are you happy with the manager?

Very happy with the manager, even though his weakened sides were in no small part responsible for early exits from Europe and the League Cup. He's bloody brilliant.

Who are your key players?

Our key players are Tom Huddlestone, the heartbeat of the midfield, and Nikica Jelavic, our leading scorer and spearhead of the attack. Keep them quiet and you'll keep City quiet.

Were you happy with the business conducted during the transfer window?

Playing wise it was an outstanding window, with extensive strengthening all over the field. The cost was eye-watering though...

Are there any rising stars in the squad that we might not have heard of?

Watch our for Andrew Robertson, a bright young thing at left full-back/wingback. Potentially someone who could light up the Premier League for years to come.

Your Achilles heel?

Defensively City have struggled of late, shipping seven goals in three games, all of which we'd led in. 4-4-2 isn't really suiting us.

If you could have any City player in your team who would you choose?

Probably all of them! If Silva fancies playing in the home of the County Champions I'll not object...

What is your perception of City as a club?

As a club effectively playing in a different league to us, we probably don't expend too much thought on Man City, but I like your ground and your players seem relatively inoffensive compared to some who play for big clubs. Your manager is a good guy too.

Likely starting XI for the game, and score prediction?

McGregor; Elmohamady, Dawson, Davies, Robertson; Huddlestone, Livermore, Diamè, Quinn; Hernandez, Jelavic.
